Yin Yoga is a deep, rich, mediative practice that emphasizes long holds (3-5 minutes) in Yoga postures. It is a complementary practice to the more vigorous styles of Yoga that have gained a lot of mainstream popularity.
The long holds work beyond the level of the muscles into the connective tissue and the joints. The practice supports healthy mobility and flexibility, it increases the flow of energy and moves the practitioner toward psycho-emotional balance.
