Are you ready to commit time for self-care and personal growth in 2019?
Imagine 3 nights and 4 days relaxing into the sound of waves breaking upon the shore. Visualize your self moving through a historic, oceanside inn that renders a feeling of stepping back in time. Come together with like minded souls to drop out of the pull of daily life and drop in to a greater connection to self & Self.
This retreat will be an immersion into yogic life style.
Mornings will begin with group sadhana (practice) adapted to the needs of the group with a focus on connecting deeply with one’s personal truth. Following practice, as a community, we will share the responsibility of setting out our morning meal (yogurt, granola, toast, fresh fruit, seeds, nuts, and make your own eggs). Breakfast will be followed with time for walks, reflection and journaling. Lunch will be prepared by our personal chef, Haley Pollock (www.holistictrick.com). Each day two participants will be asked to practice Karma Yoga by assisting Haley in the kitchen prior to meals (one time during the retreat for each willing participant). Lunch will be followed by a facilitated group experience where you may be asked to engage in a small group or partner with another participant. Following our group time there will be personal time to engage with others, walk the beach & rest. Prior to dinner, there will be a facilitated experience of Yoga and or meditation. After dinner there will be time for tea and sharing as well as our evening programs. Our Chef Haley and ellen are planning for balanced healthy, vegetarian meals. Please inform us, upon registration, if you have any allergies or special dietary needs. Haley is nutrition savvy and holds a degree in nutritional science and will fulfill reasonable requests.
These times are approximate and will be adjusted as necessary to meet the needs of the group

Ferry departs for Cuttyhunk from New Bedford at 9 am on June 6 (www.cuttyhunkferryco.com ) and departs from the Island at 3pm on June 9th. Consider carpooling as there is a daily charge of $15 for parking. Ellen will help organize carpooling closer to the time. Ellen will not be traveling to Cuttyhunk with the group as she will already be on island preparing.
Fee includes 3 nights accommodation, breakfast, gourmet healthy lunch and dinner, coffee, tea, fruit, all activities and programs.
Fee does not include: Ferry ($56),$2 luggage fee per bag up to 45 pounds, $4 up to 75 pounds – paid at ferry. Parking fee is also not included.
Note, added 1/1/2019: It was brought to my attention that there was confusion around the ferry fee. The ferry fee is an additional fee that needs to be included with your final payment as Ellen will book the ferry for the group.
Please note: I encourage you to visit www.avaloncuttyhunk.com to get a feel for the inn. It has a charming old world feel that my not be for everyone. Look through the gallery to see the bedrooms and the common spaces. Note that we are renting the whole Inn, there will not be other guests. Read through the links under “your stay” to understand the nuances of this very unique place. Some rooms have private baths and some do not. Some baths have showers, some only clawfoot tubs. There is a newly updated bathroom on the first floor with a large shower that all are welcome to use. I can not guarantee what room you will have. In shared rooms, a twin bed may need to be added to rooms with one bed. Please let me know if you are willing to share a queen or king size bed with someone you are traveling with. We will be on island at the very start of the Cuttyhunk season. This means that the limited number of restaurants (a pizza place and a clam shack) and the single gift shop will likely be closed. It also means that the Island will be even quieter then usual and we can truly UNHOOK and retreat. Namaste.
